About the Author
A lifelong American car fan, Heon Stevenson has written for several classic car magazines, including Classic American, and has also written extensively on advertising and automotive history. The owner of a Vauxhall Victor 2000 from 1968, he is a member of the Society of Automotive Historians and a Friend of the History of Advertising Trust. He is the author of British Car Advertising of the 1960s (2005) and lives in Cambridge, England.

Good book, but somewhat overpriced at $60.00. In depth analyses of numerous auto ad campaigns. Lots of black and white duplications of auto ads. Needs a larger color ad section. Oversights include an omission of the Chrysler Cordoba ads featuring Ricardo Montalban and the Cordoba's "Corinthian Leather" campaign. This book, along with "Branding Iron," provides a good overview of auto industry advertising and should be required reading for those in the industry.
