In both instances Pulido details the ways in which racism and economic subordination create subaltern communities, and shows how these groups use available resources to mobilize and improve their social, economic, and environmental conditions. Environmentalism and Economic Justice reveals that the environmental struggles of Chicano communities do not fit the mold of mainstream environmentalism, as they combine economic, identity, and quality-of-life issues. About the Author
Laura Pulido is an assistant professor of geography at the University of Southern California. A native of Los Angeles, she is a member of the Labor/Community Strategy Center and has served as a commissioner for the Environmental Affairs Department of the city of Los Angeles.

Possibly even better than his first book

This book complements Paul's previous book, At Last a Life, very well, and goes even deeper into what acceptance looks like. Please follow his advice and just allow yourself to feel anxious without trying to escape it. Once you do that you will be on the road to recovery!

I've read both of Paul's books. Absolutely critical to recovery from Anxiety. Read this in conjunction with www.anxietycentre.com and you will be set free. I'm living proof.

Great book

Great follow up to his previous book. The chapter on thoughts is priceless, much more detailed that the first book and seems to really hit the nail on the head.
Book does seem a bit repetitive, but I think the author is aware of this and it's part of really trying to get through to you. Sometimes it takes more than just reading parts once to really understand them.

About the Author
Pelle K. Soeeborg is a graphic designer in Farum, Denmark. In the early 1990s, several Model Railroader magazines caught his attention, and he has been a model railroader ever since. A trip to the United States in 1992 added to his interest in modeling United States prototypes.
Pelle has written a number of articles for Model Railroader. His images have been featured in MR calendars in addition to Woodland Scenics and Walthers catalogs. He is the author and photographer of the book, Mountain to Desert: Building the HO Scale Daneville & Donner River, by Kalmbach Books, which demonstrates modeling techniques through the construction of his home layout.

Basic concepts

Very good book, however many of the concepts in this book are very basic. Great idea database for model railroaders wishing to weather their trains. Simple and straight forward. However, I feel this book, and Done in a Day leave a little explanation out. Some prior knowledge is required. This book will not make you a master weathering guru, however it will aid in the basics of a unique, realistic fleet.

If you've already got the basics down, check out Done in a Day also by Pelle, or the harder to find "Weathering" by Thomas Mann. The later of which will dive into some off the wall techniques.

A book for both the beginner & intermediate Model Railroader

This book, Pelle's second Weathering Freight Car Book, not only picks up where his first book, "Done In a Day" leaves off, but it refines some of the techniques shown, and adds to it. It is a book worth having for creating a good looking and unique fleet of prototype Rail Cars. If you aren't fortunate enough to know Pelle personally or atttend one of his hands on clinics, this is a MUST HAVE.
